Type 2 to Type 1 AC EV Charging Adapter for American Cars
Type 2 to Type 1 AC EV Charging Adapter is designed for American and Japan-spec electric vehicles with a Type 1 / SAE J1772 AC charging port that need to charge from a compatible Type 2 AC charger.
This adapter is a practical solution for UAE customers who own imported American electric vehicles and want to use common Type 2 AC chargers, including home wallbox chargers, portable EV chargers, garage chargers, showroom chargers, and selected public AC charging points.
The correct direction of this product is Type 2 charger side to Type 1 vehicle side. It allows a Type 2 AC charger gun to connect to a vehicle equipped with a Type 1 / J1772 AC charging inlet.
This adapter is intended for single-phase AC charging only. Type 1 vehicles do not support three-phase AC charging, so even if the Type 2 charger is rated 22 kW three-phase, the vehicle will charge on single phase only. The typical maximum charging power is up to 7 kW / 7.4 kW depending on the vehicle onboard charger, charger output, electrical supply, and adapter rating.

Important Charging Note
This product does not convert AC charging to DC fast charging. It is not suitable for CCS DC fast charging, CHAdeMO, Tesla NACS, or GBT charging. It is only for Type 2 AC charger side to Type 1 / J1772 vehicle side.
The adapter does not increase the vehicle charging capacity. Many Type 1 electric cars are limited by their onboard charger, commonly around 3.3 kW, 6.6 kW, 7.2 kW, or 7.4 kW depending on the model and version.
Compatibility
This adapter is suitable for many imported American or Japan-spec electric vehicles that use a Type 1 / SAE J1772 AC charging inlet. Before purchase, please confirm the car charging port and charger connector. This adapter is not for European Type 2 cars and not for Tesla US/NACS ports.
